Mariah Carey’s Wish Comes True.

Mariah Carey will perform at the New York City Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2022 to usher in the holiday season. On November 24 at noon Eastern Standard Time, just before Santa Claus arrives at Macy’s 34th Street shop in Herald Square, this pop artist will perform her classic song “All I Want for Christmas Is You” in what is sure to be a historic parade finale.

“My childhood dream is coming to life!” Mariah wrote on Instagram on Nov. 18, as she announced the news. “I’m going to be opening for the one and only Santa Claus at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!”

The Broadway company of Funny Girl, Gloria Estefan, Paula Abdul, Dionne Warwick, Jordin Sparks, Sean Paul, the cast of Peacock’s Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, and others will all be performing in the parade alongside the “Fantasy” singer.

Since Halloween has passed, Mariah, who is frequently referred to as the “Queen of Christmas” and who recently attempted to trademark the title, has begun to feel the holiday spirit. She shared an Instagram video of herself riding a bike while donning a witch’s cap on Nov. 1 while listening to ominous music and grinning evilly in front of the camera. Then, in a split second, Mariah appears in a winter wonderland riding a reindeer while her hit song “All I Want for Christmas” is playing.
