AKA’s mom joins the podcast bandwagon. The podcast industry is expanding quickly. According to study, the size of the global podcasting industry was anticipated to be USD 18.52 billion (about R326 billion) in 2022 and is expected to increase at a CAGR of 27.6% from 2023 to 2030 (Grand View study). The late rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes‘ mother Lyn Forbes and businesswoman Katie Mohamed have joined the podcast revolution.

Lynn announces the launch of their podcast, “Outspoken Owls” set to reframe the narrative of what it means to be a middle-aged woman. For listeners and podcast enthusiasts, it is a suitable platform to connect with fellow thinkers. With their bold and confident voices, the dynamic duo has drawn on their wisdom with their newly launched podcast, where they will be candidly discussing life experiences, providing a fresh new way of seeing the world.

“We are thrilled to launch “Outspoken Owls” and look forward to sharing insights and experiences via storytelling with our audience,” says Katie. “Outspoken Owls” offers conversation and tête-à -tête that is unapologetic, opinionated, entertaining, enlightening, and engaging. Each episode is not explicitly about women, but there is a purposeful lean-to discussion on woman’s issues.”

Lynn, a Wellness Coach and Inspirational Speaker hopes that the podcast can ignite dialogue between the listeners and the hosts. “We have stories to share that I feel will inspire our audience, but we also want to learn from our audience, whether or not they relate to our shared experiences,” she says. Lynn has been in the spotlight following her son’s untimely passing in February. Lynn celebrated her first Mother’s Day without her eldest son, AKA this year. “I just can’t get used to never hearing his voice.”
