Amanda du-Pont Breaks Silence Amid Jub Jub R@pe Case. Days after her ex-boyfriend Jub Jub, real name Molemo Maarohanye, was detained on suspicion of raping her in the past, Amanda du-Pont finally spoke up.

In December 2021, the former Skeem Saam actress sobbed in front of the public and said that Jub Jub had r@ped her and had nearly killed her. This caused the Uyajola 9/9 host to become well-known.

“No you didn’t smash me, you raped me, you forcefully opened my legs and

forced yourself on me for two years and made me believe I had no way out”

Amanda du-Pont said at that time.

She then went on to say that she had to terminate her pregnancy because she refused to have a child that was forcefully given to her. “I had an abortion of course because there was absolutely no way I would have a child that was forcefully given to me,” she said.

“The most painful part of all of this was that I was a virgin and I told him at the time. I told Jub Jub at the time that I was a virgin and I planned to be a virgin until the time I got married,” she continued.

“He would wait for there to be people to rape because it got boring just to rape me plain and at home. I remember the one time I had my siblings visiting from school and he would do it while they’re around in the same room so I wouldn’t scream. I want people to know the kind of person that I dealt with,” she added.

Back then, in 2021, Amanda du-Pont’s ex-husband also arrived with a gun in hand to battle Jub Jub. When the dust finally settled, everyone believed the drama was finished, but more was still to come.

Jub Jub was charged with r@pe and attempted murder, and he appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday. He allegedly just learned of the arrest warrant against him, which was filed by none other than his ex-girlfriend Amanda.

His arrest generated a social media debate, with some supporting Amanda du Pont and many supporting Jub Jub. He was eventually freed on a R10,000 bail.

In all this the actress was quiet but has since broken her silence and this is what she wrote on Instagram: “Training is mental, stay strong there and God will do the rest, do nothing and they will talk, do what’s right and they still talk.
