Is ANC REALY DEAD?
“ANC Is Dead, Are You Well In The Head?” Julius Malema Asks Those Who Still Vote ANC

EFF leader Julius Malema asked people in Diepsloot, Johannesburg, if they were “well in the head” for continuing to vote for the ANC during a drive to get people to register for the upcoming municipal elections.
Malema addressed a community meeting in Diepsloot Park on Saturday, addressing a number of topics including formalizing Eskom to address the township’s electrical difficulties, land, voter registration, and how voting for the ANC will not bring change.

“Now, you stay in a shack. You applied for a house since 1994. But you continue to vote for the ANC. Are you well in the head?” he said.
Malema asked people to register to vote in order to depose the ruling party. “Let us check our names, and those who have not yet registered must do so.” He goes on to say that if unsatisfied voters turn out in large numbers, it will teach the ANC a lesson.
“Change is your vote, you have been voting the same thing and things are remaining the same. Maybe if you change your vote, things will change,” he told the Diepsloot community.
People, according to Malema, lack the patience and consistency of Nelson Mandela, the late struggle icon. Mandela spent 27 years on Robben Island, and the EFF leader claims that communities lack Mandela’s fighting spirit and thus quit voting.
He went on to remark that while former President Jacob Zuma did not cause the ANC’s problems, he did make them “worse.”
“The ANC is responsible for this mess, we voted for the ANC, not for Zuma. It is the ANC that sold the people of South Africa and we must teach the ANC a lesson…The whole thing is rotten.”
“We don’t want you to buy the land, we want you to be given the land… When we marched in the 80s, we said we don’t want matchbox houses. But the ANC government gave us worse than the apartheid people. We want to give you proper houses.”
