Anthony Laffor’s Next Move Confirmed?
Anthony Laffor’s Next Move
It is normal for football players to retire at their beloved club as they age but most of them aren’t given that opportunity especially when they’re off form and add no value to the squad anymore.
Anthony Laffor is one of the players that dearly wished to retire at Chloorkop but things got nasty for him as he was released by the Brazilians recently.
The 35-year-old is currently clubless and is very much keen on reviving his career that has taken a downfall ever since he succumbed to his injuries former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane.
The Liberian is regarded as one of the best foreign players to ever play in the PSL. He spent eight years with the Chloorkop based club and was one of the key players that won the historic CAF Champions League.
Although the veteran is currently clubless many still believe he has still a lot to offers. Some reports have lined him with the likes of Amazulu but the most talked about topic is his reunion with his former coach Gavin Hunt at Naturena.
Kaizer Chiefs currently have a FIFA transfer ban that doesn’t allow them to sign players but players can however practice with them. It will be interesting to see whether the Amakhosi will eventually sign him after the transfer ban.
Do you think he should join the Amakhosi for training or rather go and look for other clubs that will give him game time? Please let me know in the comment section below. Thank you.
