Burfee Recipe With Klim And Condensed Milk

Ingredients Required For Making The Best Burfee.

  1. 500g (2 cups) Klim milk powder
  2. 125ml (½ cup) nestle cream
  3. 125ml (½ cup) melted ghee
  4. 250ml (1 cup) sugar
  5. 125ml (½ cup) water
  6. 125 (½ cup) ground almonds
  7. 125ml (½ cup) thick ghee
  8. 500ml (2 cups) desiccated coconut
  9. 125ml (½ cup) nestle cream
  10. 3 ml (½ teaspoon) cardamom powder (elachi)
  11. 1 can (397g) of condensed milk
  12. Colored slivered almonds for decoration

Method: Cooking Instructions

  1. Place Klim ½ cup nestle cream and ½ cup ghee in a mixing bowl and rub until evenly mixed.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan.
  4. Allow to dissolve and bring to a boil. Boil for ten minutes.
  5. Add ground almonds, thick ghee, coconut, extra nestle cream, cardamom, and Klim mixture.
  6. Cook over low heat whilst stirring, until the mixture, appears dry
  7. Add condensed milk and continue to stir over gentle heat until the mixture has thickened. (About 30 minutes).
  8. Spread into a deep tray (28 * 18cm) and decorate with the almonds.
  9. Allow to cool and cut into squares or triangles or alternatively, roll into tiny balls and place into small paper cups.

Note: Allow to set for 6 – 8 hours before cutting Burfee to serve
