CottonFest Announces Complete Schedule For Event In Cape Town.

Cotton Fest, the organization behind one of South Africa’s largest cultural events, today revealed the whole festival lineup for the forthcoming concert in Cape Town next month.

Over 50 of South Africa’s finest established and up-and-coming hip-hop and amapiano headlining talent/artists from Cape Town and Johannesburg, respectively, will perform at the concert that will usher in the holiday season.

The performance, which is scheduled to take place at Paarden Eiland Park on Saturday, December 10, 2022, has recently topped 60% of its ticket sales.

This action-packed festival will not only showcase the diversity in the different popular music genres, but will also feature various lifestyle elements existing within the “culture,” including fashion and sport. It will bring the same genuine vibe emanated from the Joburg edition to the mother city this summer.

A brilliant up-and-coming Cape Town-based artist will get the opportunity to perform at the festival next month after the University of Cotton Fest yesterday announced the OPEN MIC Night on social media. Only the first 100 entries will be accepted, and one winner will be notified right before the presentation. The qualified faculty will choose the valedictorian from among the more than 320 entries that were received in less than 24 hours.

The festival’s headliners, including Youngsta CPT, Dee Koala, KashCPT, and Ready D, will play live with the victor. The best of South Africa’s Blxckie, A-Reece, Moozlie, Robot Boii, Pabi Cooper, and Felo Le Tee are joining them. Among the up-and-coming local artists are Bravo Le Roux, K.Keed, and Holy Alpha.

The legendary producer Anatii, who also has an album out today, is back and will be the headlining act for Cotton Fest Cape Town.

This weekend, the V&A Waterfront will host a Family Day that will feature a variety of activities, including basketball and skateboarding, in advance of the much awaited festival. The day will be jam-packed with pre-festival entertainment at Battery Park from 10 am to 5 pm.
