Gugu Khathi to take legal action against Sli Khumalo. The claims of cheating made against Gugu Khathi by gender activist Slindile Khumalo are not being taken lightly by Gugu Khathi, DJ Tira’s wife. As a result of Gugu accusing Sli of having an extramarital affair with Tebogo Lerole of the Kwela Tebza band during a motorsports event in the Eastern Cape two weekends ago, afromambo has learned that Gugu has chosen to sue Sli.

Gugu and her husband DJ Tira Khathi said to ZiMoja over the weekend that they weren’t worried by the rumors at first, but that as the story went viral and people began tagging the DJ, it got to be too much for them. A source familiar with the matter claims that because Tira trusts his wife, they want to make a point.

“The issue is no longer a laughing matter, it is serious, remember Tira and his wife are brands, and they will do anything to protect the brand they worked hard for,” adds the source.

Another source claims that DJ Tira left the Durban artists Whatsapp group, which is made up of local artists and promoters. This happened after Sli’s voicemail accusing Gugu of cheating was circulated among the group, the source claims.

“It was shocking when he left the group because he is one of the people who are instrumental in the group, and his opinions matter, we were all taken aback when he just exited” adds the source.

Lerole attempted to coerce Sli into sharing a hotel room with his partner so that he could spend the night with Gugu while they were away, Sli told Zimoja. The activist was challenged to a physical fight in the boxing ring by a furious Gugu, who rejected the allegations.

Speaking to ZiMoja, Gugu revealed that she is currently debating the best course of action for handling this situation with her legal team. “I am definitely suing her,” she said.

In the meantime, DJ Tira addressed the allegations and said he wasn’t disturbed. Even when the rumors started, he stood with Gugu. He claimed that because he trusted his wife, he was unmoved by social media rumors.
