Zari comes clean about Shakib working as watchman for her late husband. It was clarified by Zari Hassan regarding allegations that she began dating Shakib Cham Lutaaya when he was working as a watchman for her late husband Ivan Ssemwanga.

In an interview with Ugandan media on May 4, 2023, Zari acknowledged that she had dated Shakib in the past before their split and reunion in 2022.

“I dated Shakib way back and then we went separate ways. I don’t know how we found each other again. And then coming back together one year later and it’s like ‘you know what? I am gonna make you my wife’. That’s it. We didn’t talk for a while then all over a sudden we come back together a year after getting back together and we get married. If it’s not God, I mean what do you call that?” Zari said.

Zari vehemently refuted reports that she began seeing Shakib while her late husband Ivan Ssemwanga employed him as a watchman.

“We need to address this. I’ve seen [people saying] that Shakib used to be our gateman. He used to work for Ivan,” Zari said.

“To set the record straight, Shakib has never worked for Ivan. Shakib was never our gateman while I was with Ivan. Shakib never worked for Ivan or me or any of our companies,” she added.

When the Ugandan socialite revealed in a post on social media in October 2022 that she and Shakib were celebrating their fourth anniversary together, it caused controversy.

“Four years together..🥂❤,” Zari wrote.

Zari’s revelation meant that Shakib and her started dating in October 2018.

From October 2018 until now, Zari has been dating many men. On February 14, 2018, Valentine’s Day, she dumped Diamond.

On July 18, 2019, Mandela Day, Zari wed a man she only referred to as King Bae after splitting from Diamond. He was allegedly from South Africa.

Zari quickly moved on with ‘Dark Stallion’ after her marriage to King Bae hit rock bottom.

Following Dark Stallion, Zari connected with Ugandan living in South Africa named GK Choppa.

It is said that the Ugandan socialite began dating GK Choppa, who was similarly younger than her, in January 2022 after their love-themed images appeared online.

Prior to their love images being published and blogs taking off with the tale, the mother of five delayed posting GK Choppa.

However, after their breakup in April 2022, Zari removed all of GK Choppa’s pictures from her social media profiles.

Soon after parting up with GK Choppa, Zari began dating Shakib Cham Lutaaya. In May 2022, pictures of Zari and Shakib appeared online.

The socialite and Shakib were first spotted together in May 2022 while having a good time at a beach in Dar es Salaam.

At Kidimbwi beach, Zari was spotted having a good time while perched on a young man’s lap. As she was also observed erotically grinding on Shakib, who was still unknown to the public at the time, the Ugandan socialite sparked questions.

In April 2023, Zari, 42, and Shakib, 32, were united in marriage in a little ceremony.

The two lovers were wed in a home during a low-key, traditional Muslim wedding.

Videos showed Zari and Shakib exchanging vows while knelt on the ground and with only a few people around them.

After becoming legally married, the couple could also be seen having fun.

After her marriage, Zari lately referred to herself by her husband’s last name.

The mother of five announced her new title as Mrs. Lutaaya on social media.
