Kgomotso Christopher (YV) sets the record straight on claims she’s returning to Scandal!. Kgomotso Christopher, a celebrated South African actress and two-time SAFTA Award winner, is responsible for some of the most recent iconic parts on regional soap operas. But it could be claimed that one of her most enduring characters to date is none other than Yvonne “YV” Langa from Scandal.
However, Christopher temporarily left the serial opera in March 2020. Christopher, however, has formally left the soap opera by December 2020 in order to take the main role in M-Net’s first original telenovela Legacy. However, after the serial opera was canceled, rumors surfaced that Christopher might be returning to Scandal. As stated:
Kgomotso Christopher expressed his excitement on Twitter when he learned that Litlhonolofatso Litlhakanyane would be back to Scandal! Fans of the SAFTA award-winning performer asked whether she would be returning with the young actor after seeing her joyful post.
Reason being that Christopher was adored as Tibi’s mother figure as the scrupulous villain Yvonne “YV” Langa on the soap opera before she left to star in the now-cancelled M-Net original drama Legacy. Kgomotso, however, initially asserted that Tibi was alright without her after her departure.
However, when questioned about whether or not she would be returning. Even more so considering that Legacy was canceled and that there hasn’t been any indication that Kgomotso is currently working on any new projects. It appears that Kgomotso has a good chance of playing the part again for which she won one of her SAFTA awards.
However, Christopher refrained from responding directly at the moment. But as excitement started to take over in the belief that she was returning, Christopher finally shared the truth.
