Khethukuthula Mbatha From Uzalo is coming back to the screens
Khethukuthula Mbatha, Uzalo’s most divisive character, is returning to the screen after a nearly three-month hiatus.
He is set to return to the screens this Friday.
The popular TV series announced the development on their Instagram page. Captioning the post, Uzalo wrote:
“Scenes from the United States of Melika! 🇺🇸
Are we even ready for Bishop’s Return this Friday? 🥵 @thabokamnguni”
Viewers are happy that the controversial character which is played by Thabo Mnguni is back on the screens.
Thabo took a break from Uzalo sometime in July to focus on personal commitments and his businesses
During his absence, a number of his fans missed his character and on so many occasions they took to social media to question when he would be returning. Responding to his fans recently, Thabo said;
“I know that viewers miss Mbatha. I had to take a break. Some have thought that I have permanently exited the show. But I’m coming back soon.”
In his last scene before leaving, he told church members that he was going overseas. Judging from Uzalo’s post, Mbatha was in America, and whilst he was there he linked up with renowned preacher Pastor TD Jakes.
Viewers should expect a lot of drama from their favorite Pastor as he is back with a bang. Speaking about his role, Thabo said his character still hasn’t changed. He, however, hinted that his storyline is coming back with a lot of drama.
“Mbatha is known for his dodgy deeds and he doesn’t change. He wanted to be a pastor and tried so hard to sabotage Pastor Gwala (played by Menzi Biyela). He hasn’t changed. Although the church members believe there’s something wrong with him, he doesn’t care. He is still the manipulative and controversial Mbatha that he was before he left,” said Thabo.
