We must pray for her. The late South African artist Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo’s mother, Zamanguni Maphumulo, is reportedly ill.

However, Mampintsha’s sister Pinki Gumede has recently provided confirmation of the information. She believes she has been admitted to the Wentworth hospital where she is receiving medical care.

“Our mother is very sick,” Pinki told Daily Sun. She revealed that the untimely death of Mampintsha in December last year worsened the situation. Pinki has it that she became weak and could not walk.”

Several days after Mampintsha’s passing, rumors that Zama had been hospitalized due to illness started to circulate.

According to other stories, she reportedly passed out after being denied access to her son’s funeral services. Pinki claims that her mother’s health was impacted by Mampintsha’s passing.

“A few days later before the funeral, she became worse. She couldn’t sleep and she couldn’t walk. At Mampintsha’s funeral and memorial service, we had to support her”

“My mother is a bubbly person but she hasn’t been herself since my brother’s death,” Pinki told the publication.

Zama is furious at her daughter-in-law Babes Wodumo despite her health problems. On social media, the gqom queen has become popular for the wrong reasons.

“One; no offence, I love Babes, she and I reunited and made peace at the funeral, but this is not how things are done,” said Zamanguni Gumede.

“Firstly, she is not at home, she is gallivanting in the streets, drinking and partying. Two, she is not wearing traditional mourning clothes. The daughter of a pastor is not following the rules. She is doing things her own way” added Zamanguni Gumede

She said he is not a very traditional person herself but what Babes is doing is wrong.

“I am not a very traditional person myself, and I understand people heal differently and deal with grief in their own way, but this is not right. This is painful to watch. She is disrespecting my son in a way” she said
