Mampintsha’s lookalike resurfaces and causes a stir on social media. 

It’s been two years since the South African Gqom star Mandla Maphumulo, professionally known by the name ‘Mampintsha,’ passed on. Mampintsha died at the age of 40 after suffering from a minor stroke. The talented musician was married to the SA Gqom artist Bongekile Simelane, whose stage name is ‘Babes Wodumo.’

The couple was blessed with one child, ‘Sponge,’ but it is unfortunate that the late musician’s opportunity to be a present father in his son’s life was prematurely snatched from him, hence the boy was still a baby. 

South Africa is stunned after the picture of a man who looks exactly like Mampintsha has been circulating on social media platforms. Some are suspicious that Mampintsha might have faked his death to live happily with this other woman (the one in the photo with him).

The 30-year-old Babes Wodumo recently shared the picture along with a caption that reads: “I’m so shocked, guys.” Fans left their comments expressing their shock regarding Mampintsha’s duplicate.

They are so convinced that it really is him. Few of the comments read thus: “He should have said that he wants a different life.” “They can’t be the same. This is definitely  him.” “Maybe he was afraid to tell you that he wants isithembu; he then decided to fake his death.”
