Radio and television personality, Misred has responded to reports that she is in a relationship with suspended Zanu PF Youth League boss Lewis Matutu.
The rumours got out of control when a woman of similar build to Misred was photographed in a compromising position with Matutu, and the image went viral on social media.
Misred has however denied the allegations that she is in a relationship with Matutu bluntly stating “I’m not with him.”
In response to a reply on her latest tweet urging Lewis Matutu to share, Misred said:
Earlier this month Misred came under fire on social media following an interview that she did with a Ghanaian radio station, Y107.9 on the #ZimbabweanLivesMatter movement.
In the interview, MisRed claimed that the situation on the ground is not even that bad and that it is a few people on Twitter who are pushing the movement. She went on to say,
“There’s a very big disconnect between what’s going on the ground and what’s going on, on social media.”
When asked about President Mnangagwa’s response in which he threatened to flush out opponents, she claimed that the President was focusing his response on the rural demographic who do not have access to the internet and social media, and who are not part of the #ZimbabweanLivesMatter movement.
This did not go down well with many Zimbabweans on social media who accused her of denialism.
However, a number of social media users also defended Misred’s assertions saying that she is only speaking from her own personal experience.
She later apologized saying that she should not have accepted the interview.
