Pearl Modiadie opens up on her epidural needle insertion trauma

Pearl Modiadie has confessed that she is still recovering from the implantation of an epidural needle.

The actress gave birth to her first child in 2020, and it appears that she is still recovering from the ordeal.

Pearl said the experience afterwards makes up for it, even if it’s been two years, and she can feel it all over again when she views her birth video.

She wrote: “Almost 2 years in and I still can’t get over the trauma of the epidural needle insertion. The feeling afterwards makes up for it, but I can feel it all over again when I watch my birth video. Issa lot mate!”

Tweeps quickly jumped to comment, other even shared experiences they had with the epidural. Here are some of the comments:

“I knew that I was better off when 2 of my family members warned me of spine problem.”

“Sis, I went for 9 hours in labor at the hospital and I pushed with no medication . Then my daughter I went for water birth with a midwife with no medication 😅😅😭😭😭🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️”

“I don’t remember having intense pain. I did however get a numbing gel first. So this could be why. I just felt a sting and then a burning sensation through my legs. Until I couldn’t feel anything at all. But I do get alot of backaches till now. My baby is 10 years old”

“I needed three people hold me still to insert it. Almost 4 years ago and I remember that pain like it was yesterday 😭😭”

“Pearl! 😩 I remember that pain so vividly! Worse, the Anesthetist was not getting the precise spot so he had to insert the needle several times and it would come out bent! 😣 By the 3rd insertion, I had given up ever living again!”

Meanwhile, Pearl Modiadie described her baby daddy Nathaniel as “wonderful,” and she expressed her gratitude to him.

Despite their breakup a few months after welcoming their kid Oliver, the two are fantastic at co-parenting.

Pearl raved about her former partner, who is also the father of her child, on her Instagram stories.

“I reckon we’ve got this co-parenting thing on lockdown, on most days.”

“Thanks you for being amazing baby daddy. Lewatle has such a great dad,” she wrote on a video where Nathaniel is seen carrying the baby into her space.

Pearl is fond of appreciating her ex-lover despite their unexpected break-up.

In announcing their split, Pearl said, “Alone is so much better than being unhappy.”

“I wasn’t able to achieve my dream of having the family I’ve always longed for. But out of it came my beautiful son and for that, I’m eternally grateful,” she added.

Pearl wished her baby daddy a happy father’s day with a sweet message on her Instagram
