Kenyans have questioned in what capacity did ODM leader Raila Odinga convene a meeting of Jubilee MPs at his Capitol Hill offices in Nairobi. This comes after a week of ruthless purge of errant legislators of the Jubilee Party, by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The former premier is not a member of the Jubilee Party and as such many wonder how much authority he wields in the regime, to allow him summon MPs. Here are some of the reactions from Kenyans:
Have you become a Leader of two political parties (both Jubilee and ODM)?- Chekai Musa
How is this even possible? Please take me through how you jumped from opposition to the government and completely altered the DNA/genetic codes of jubilee. You showed us that tanga tanga guys are just parrots with clay legs and wings fixed with wax. Baba is Baba.- Nomadson
Go hang with your Ruto and tell him to learn to respect the President. Otherwise for now vumilia hali ilivyo.- Jeff
The senate has been reduced into a kitchen of the statehouse. It’s now worrying that Raila said the ball will be returned to 1963, during the BBI launch. Now we are changing to darkness. The force is too much. Really, Kenya is a great country.-Mareba
