Senzo Meyiwa And AKA’s Cases Compared. This week, the accusations made in the Kiernan “AKA” Forbes murder case received a lot of attention on social media. This was again motivated by the recent interview that Anwar “Dogg” Khan, AKA’s longtime bodyguard while he was in KwaZulu-Natal, did.
Particularly after Dogg gave his interview to e.TV and claimed that AKA’s visit to the Wish restaurant, where he was shot, was the result of the public’s renewed suspicion of AKA’s team because of the contentious relationship he had with the province, he suggested that his visit to the restaurant was a security breach.
However, in light of Dogg’s interview, AKA’s family and girlfriend Nadia Nakai appeared to dismiss any claims that his entire team—including his road manager and brother to rapper K.O—was responsible. AKA’s supporters have taken a different position, which has led to comparisons between his cases and yet another widely publicized murder that has gone unsolved.
Senzo Meyiwa And AKA’s Cases Compared
The murder of prominent soccer player and Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwe in suspicious circumstances at the home of his then-girlfriend, musician Kelly Khumalo, is rapidly nearing ten years ago. The case has not been resolved even though there were reportedly five other people in the home when he was killed.
As a result, in the eight years and counting since the murder, many conspiracy theories have implicated Kelly Khumalo, Longwe Twala, and nearly everyone in the home. Finding the killer and precisely what occurred in that house to cause Meyiwe’s untimely death have not yet been successful, though.
Given this reality, the general public has begun to think that the AKA case will experience the same outcome. First of all, the CCTV footage of AKA’s final seconds, which sort of depicts the murderers, was available. Additionally, other social media users have emphasized that the SAPS could have used DNA to identify the murderers. However, it appears that no fingerprints were obtained because there have been no arrests.
“Senzo Meyiwa, Dj Sumbody, Dumi Masilela, Tebza Mafikizolo, Kiernan Forbes – some of their families still have no justice after years & our police have failed to solve their cases. There is no excuse for the lack of progress, justice must be served!
WHAT ARE THE SAPS DOING???” @Jorome tweeted
In addition, AKA’s friends and family have spoken out against attempts by the public to point the finger at AKA’s team, who was with him when he passed away, as potential assassins. The public has also spoken out to contrast how Kelly Khumalo was virtually crucified at the stake in the Senzo Meyiwe case. This was true even though there was no proof that she was involved in his death.
Therefore, the reason why the general public is cautioned against making the same charges as they did in the Senzo case has remained a mystery. more so given that AKA’s squad isn’t being demonized. However, it should motivate the SAPS to work better and quickly solve the case.
“All of a sudden kuthiwa we must not name drop but y’all have been name dropping on the Senzo Meyiwa case for years. What’s the difference now?Name dropping is nothing compared to what Kiernan went through.A man died for goodness sake. They must never catch a break!!” wrote another tweep
