Sonia Mbele, a Mzansi actress and director, has never shied away from discussing the difficulties she encountered in her marriage that ultimately led to her divorce.
This week, Sonia admitted to Kaya 959 that it was a challenging moment in her career because she had to put some of her goals on hold.
“You know when something is not working and you still want to make it work in any way. I remember being on the biggest show in the country and not being able to watch it because it made people around me uncomfortable. It became deeper,” she told Dineo and Sol Phenduka.
Leslie Sedibe, a businessman, was the husband of Sonia Mbele. In 2006, after a few years of dating, the pair got married.

She admitted having a little stroke at the time.

But the truth is Leslie and I were two different people who wanted different things. Yes, we loved each other… I became the person that he wanted me to be and lost myself in the process.”
