Thembinkosi Lorch ’s ex Fundiswa reacts to winning assault case against him. Fundiswa Nokuphiwa Mathithibala has reacted after Thembinkosi Lorch, Natasha Thahane’s boyfriend, was found guilty of assaulting her in 2020 by the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.

In September 2020, the Sunday World reported that the Bucs football player had been arrested for abusing Mathithibala, bringing their relationship into the public eye.

According to a 2021 News24 story, the Randburg Magistrate’s Court had temporarily withdrawn the assault case against Lorch.

According to Mathithibala, the Bafana Bafana player abandoned her in his house while she was there to visit him and went out with his friend.

“Mathithibala saw that it was getting late and messaged him to return her car keys. On arrival, an argument ensued and Lorch became violent towards her and started to strangle her, beat her whilst pulling her up and down. She called for help and his friend came to her rescue,” the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said in a statement.

NPA spokeswoman in Gauteng Phindi Mjonondwane said that Michele Hart, the state prosecutor, contended that the medical findings supported the complainant’s testimony.

“The accused did not have any injuries which meant that he was the aggressor. The accused and his witness did not create a good impression in court and appeared to be not credible witnesses”

In response, Mathithibala, who is now supposedly dating Andile Jali, posted photos of herself outside court along with a message of gratitude for the support she has received on Instagram.

“Being born and bred in the rural areas doesn’t define your level of of intelligence, wisdom and strength God has given you along with your ancestors…let them undermine you and honesty to lead you. Kuthi khuuu, ibinde lendlela, ndithi enkosi 🙇‍♀️ @lacosteplg_ thank you my sister for your consistent love and support ♥️I love you.”
