Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo‘s burial service turned dramatic when his mother Zamanguni Gumede arrived late for the ritual.

At the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban, friends, family, and business associates gathered to say goodbye to the late actor.

Zama made a dazzling big entrance as attendees were seated and a speaker was on stage paying honor to the deceased hero. They were clearly at odds with Babes Wodumo’s family since she sat in the front row in silence.

Tension between the Maphumulo and Gumede families has been evident even since Mampintsha’s death. The families appear to be at odds over Mampintsha’s remains; Zama is said to have been enraged after being left out of the memorial and funeral plans.

They were not allowed to attend the memorial service for Mampintsha on Thursday because Zama was also running late, according to a statement she made to Daily Sun.

At Mampintsha’s memorial service on Thursday, Babes Wodumo was in good spirits. While carrying her infant, she rose up and danced to Mampintsha’s popular song Ngeke.

Tweeps have praised her strength. Nhlanhla Caps Majozi wrote “May God give you strength during this extremely difficult time, we mourn in different ways, yilento vele ebesinazi ngayo ninoMampintsha ingoma nomdanso umuntu uphelezelwa ngento abeythanda RIP Shimora

“Mampintsha definitely looking down and smiling from ear to ear, seeing Babes Wodumo and Sponge honoring him in that manner… Dancing and singing like their lives depend on it. A proud husband and a father. Babes is a rock ”

“Nice to see Babes Wodumo dancing and smiling even though it hurts … She’s a strong woman and I hope she bounces back on her career and be ontop ”
