Babes Wodumo dances at the memorial service of Mampintsha’s mom. Mzansi singer Babes Wodumo was upbeat as she sang and danced at the memorial service for the late Mampintsha’s mother, Zamanguni Gumede.
Despite rumors that the Gqom singer had been prevented from attending Mampintsha’s mother’s burial, it appears that the Gumede family and Babes Wodumo are not at odds as rumors suggested.
Yesterday in Durban’s L Hall KwaMashu, a memorial service was held for the late Zamanguni Gumede, who passed away from a stroke on the evening of January 15. According to reports, Babes was not allowed to attend the funeral service today.

The Wololo hitmaker, however, is seen dancing with her in-laws at Zama’s memorial service, dispelling the rumors in a video provided by Daily Sun.
Despite Babes Wodumo’s “bewitching” claim, Pinky Gumede and Mampintsha’s sister are not genuinely at odds. Pinky, who previously accused Babes of neglecting to visit her mother while she was in the hospital, can be seen dancing and singing with mourners in the video.
The video also includes a tearjerking scene in which Zamanguni sobs after meeting Tira, who visited the family along with other KZN artists to provide consolation during this trying time. Tira is thanked for coming to see them by Zama. Watch the video below:
