Viewers Demands To Have Somizi Back On IdolsSA
It is evident that Somizi Mhlongo is a ratings magnet. Since his alleged abuse charges were made public, the veteran entertainer has had a difficult time. Mohale Motaung, his soon-to-be-ex, blew the lid off their glamorized marriage and the skeletons they were hiding.
Somizi was an abuser, according to Mohale. Somizi was fired from IdolsSA, where he was a judge, as a result of this. Fans of Idols South Africa want Somizi back on the show.
Unfortunately, IdolsSA’s decision to end their association with Somizi has resulted in a decline in weekly viewers, resulting in a negative rating for the show. Weekly, viewers flock to social media to express their desire for Somizi to return to IdolsSA.
Since Somizi’s departure, IdolsSA has lacked the wooo shame effect. The popular singing competition’s ratings were reportedly over 1 million in July, but following his exit, only 600,000 viewers remained, a staggering loss of hundreds of thousands of people and about a third of the show’s total audience.
As surprising as it may seem, this is the highest number of viewers for a single episode of the show in August. Other Idols programs from last month received significantly fewer audiences to Mzansi Magic’s Sunday evenings. MNet, on the other hand, is unlikely to give in to the pressure and bring Somizi back this season.
Idols received 693 760 viewers on August 8th, just one day after M-Net announced that Somizi Mhlongo will no longer be a judge on the Mzansi Magic series. Fans clearly want Somizi to return to IdolsSA.
