As the bus approached a bridge, tragedy struck as the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and crash into the bridge barricade. The impact sent the bus plummeting 50 meters into a ravine, where it erupted into flames upon hitting the rocks below.
The aftermath of the Moria bus accident was harrowing, with almost everyone onboard, including the driver, perishing in the flames. The severity of the inferno left many victims unrecognizable, adding to the grief and shock of the incident. By Friday, only 34 bodies had been recovered, with nine individuals identified.
